Martina Otilia Mauser was born on May 9, 1923 in Indianapolis to the family of Martin Mauser and Josephine Mervar. She was the youngest child - daddy’s little girl.

Tina’s first communion and confirmation took place on the same day of May 31, 1931. Confirmation name - Valeria. Her sponsor was Valeria Mervar.

Martina married Anthony Dawnorowicz on March 2, 1946.

Tony was born on May 4, 1920 in the Borough of Archbald, Lackawanna County, in the State of Pennsylvania to the family of Constantine Dawnorowicz and Mary Falicki. His parents were of Polish descent.

For some time Tony erroneously used the last name of Donorowitz. Several years after their marriage Tina insisted that they change their last name as it appeared in Tony's birth records.

Tony served in WWII (medical corps).

On April 25, 1948 Anthony Donorowicz underwent confirmation at the Holy Trinity Church in Indianapolis. His confirmation name was Louis and his sponsor was Joseph Toth.

After they got married, Tina and Tony moved temporarily to Massachusetts. Tony chopped trees down. They moved back to Indianapolis and moved in with Tina’s dad, Martin Mauser, who still lived at 960 Haugh Street. Tina took care of him until his death in 1964.

In 1974 Tina and Tony moved to their house at 3020 Winfield Avenue. Tony worked at the post office in downtown Indianapolis. Tony was an integral part of the family and a close friend of Washie.

Tina and Tony did not have their own children. When Marie’s dad, Washie, died, Tony assumed the role of a grandfather (pa) for Martin and Elyse Swoverland, Marie’s kids. He shared with them Christmases, birthdays, etc. Marie remembers many Christmas eves watching Tony and her husband, Don, get tipsy while assembling Santa’s gifts for the children. She also remembers Tina and Tony always accompanying the Bozics for vacations. And, of course, Tina and Tony, attended all Bozic celebrations. Tina and Tony were the Bozic children’s second mother and father.

Anthony Dawnorowicz died on September 3, 1999. He was buried in Indianapolis at Calvary Cemetery, Section 4, Lot 1111. SSN: 015-14-4440.
