Mitochondrial DNA or mtDNA Haplogroup H. About one-half of all Europeans are haplogroup H, which is also common in North Africa and the Middle East. Even on the edges of its vast distribution range, in northern India and central Asia, it is seen in 5 to 10 percent of those tested.

Marie grew up at 1901 N Sharon Avenue, on the corner of 19th Street and Sharon Avenue.

Marie attended Holy Trinity Grade School and St. Mary Academy. She then graduated from business college.

Marie’s First Holy Communion took place on April 24, 1955 and confirmation – on April 24, 1956 by Rev. Paul C. Schulte. Marie’s confirmation name was Theresa and Martina Dawnorowicz was her sponsor.

On June 21, 1969 Marie married Donald Lee Swoverland. Donald was born on October 28, 1948 in Young America, Indiana. Marie met Don at her cousin Charleyne Toth’s wedding. Charleyne was marrying Don’s older brother, Larry Gene Swoverland.

Marie supported Don and provided guidance while he was in the Pharmacy School at Purdue University in West Lafayette and later Dental School at IUPUI.

Together Marie and Don have developed a successful dental practice in West Lafayette.

Marie and Don have two children:

  1. Martin Andrew Swoverland
  2. Elyse Marie Swoverland

Here is what Sasha thinks of Marie: Marie is a feminine and elegant lady possessing an exquisite taste and style. She appreciates fashion, gourmet restaurants, five-star hotels, superb service and art. She loves port (porto), planting flowers, walking along the sea and a touch of yellow. She values integrity, true friends, children and her grandpuppy, Nismo. She despises deception, weakness, laziness, indifference, house dust and messes.

Marie likes to travel. She has been to Slovenia, Canada, Ukraine, Austria and England and has visited many beautiful locations in the United States. She is very proud of her Slovenian heritage.

One of Marie's passions is cooking.

If Marie won a Powerball Jackpot she would purchase…a small cozy house in a quaint fishing town by the sea and would spend most of her time planting flowers; some of the money she would give to her kids, much she would spend on various causes to make a positive difference in the world, and the rest she would spend in Las Vegas at the Bellagio playing periodically on a Wheel of Fortune machine while savoring Bellagio’s Stracciatella ice cream.

Marie can never get enough of news, quotes and jigsaw puzzles. If she could, she would consume all the carbs in the world. In her next life Marie would like to be the skinny Audrey Hepburn. If it were possible, she would dream of her dad every night. If it were necessary, Marie would sacrifice her life for her children. If she could turn back the hands of time, she would get a prestigious college degree.

Marie is loyal, extremely honest, kind and generous. Her kindness, sincerity and goodness are so profound and unprecedented that the majority of people of our epoch are simply incapable of believing, perceiving, comprehending or digesting them. Those very few, who have been blessed to really get to know her, realize that Marie is too good for this world and that this world is not ready yet for the altruist and saint of her caliber and quality.
