John Anthony Bozic was born on October 9, 1952 to Rudolph Bozic and Sophie Mauser in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. He was the youngest child.

Sophie's mitochondrial DNA or mtDNA Haplogroup H. About one-half of all Europeans are haplogroup H, which is also common in North Africa and the Middle East. Even on the edges of its vast distribution range, in northern India and central Asia, it is seen in 5 to 10 percent of those tested.

First communion was on April 19, 1959. John was in the confirmation class of May 17, 1959. John’s confirmation name was Joseph and his sponsor was Carl Mauser.

John was born and grew up at 1901 N Sharon Avenue, Indianapolis.

John graduated from Cathedral High School in 1970; from Marian College (Indianapolis) in 1974 and from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1978.

From 1978 until 1981 John worked as a dentist in the Air force in Fort Worth, Texas.

On July 31, 1976 John married Lisa Elaine Hayes. Lisa was born on March 20, 1953 in Indianapolis to the family of Jack and Marge Hayes. She graduated from Speedway High School in 1971, worked and attended IUPUI for about two and a half years.

They have one son:

1. Zachary David Bozic (June 6, 1985)

John has a successful pediatric dental practice. He has dental offices in Indianapolis and West Lafayette.

Zach is majoring in biology at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He plans to pursue a degree in dentistry.
